Dr. Melissa Cole is a clinician and educator and serves as a full-time Nurse Builders Senior Educator. She has been a registered nurse for over 39 years and an adult geriatric nurse practitioner for over 10 years. Her experience includes serving as a nurse educator in both graduate and undergraduate nursing programs and working as an adult nurse practitioner performing primary care and wound care to homebound patients, as well as telehealth follow up. Throughout her nursing career, she has worked in labor and delivery, high-risk obstetrics, pediatrics, emergency care, operating room, telemetry, diabetes management, public health, hospice, and home health care. Her passions include caring for older adults and individuals with disabilities across both inpatient and outpatient settings, particularly those affected by health inequities and social determinants of health. In this review course, Melissa will provide a thorough review of the Gastroenterology content to prepare participants for the CGRN exam.
