About the course instructors:

Kate Colvin, MSN-Ed, RNC-OB, C-EFM, LCCE, C-ONQS, CNE, CD(DONA), C-IAP, NPD-BC

Kate Colvin is dedicated to preparing perinatal nurses to sit for the Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) Exam. Kate is an expert clinician and educator in obstetric nursing and electronic fetal monitoring. She has fifteen years of experience as an OB staff nurse and clinical nurse educator for BSN nursing students. She is certified in Inpatient Obstetrics, Electronic Fetal Monitoring, and is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. Kate is active in the Association for Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), and is an instructor for the AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring course. Kate’s passion for OB nursing, and especially fetal monitoring, translates in this course and the way she prepares participants to challenge and pass the EFM Exam.
